    Inserting Images Into Your Blog Margins

    Kelly_cullen_snr Had an email this morning from one of my clients, Kelly Cullen.
    Kelly is a very successful fitness trainer who also uses her vast experience and knowledge to show other fitness trainers how to 'up their game' by sharing the best tools and techniques to create a successful PT business. Kelly will be using her blog to launch her new Coaching Gym for Fitness Trainers. It's still in development at the moment, but I will blog about it once it's ready.

    Anyway, this is what she's written:  "Hi Claire, Have tried to be smart and copy another logo onto blog, ended up with the notes on site instead? Could you possibly, pretty, pretty, please? re do and explain where I went wrong? Logo. FIA, Fitness Industry Ass. Have made Pay Pal Payment. Thanks. Warmest Regards Kelly"

    I emailed her a response, but thought it worth sharing here on BusinessBlogAngel.com since the information is the same for all Typepad users who want to create a permanent graphical link.

    "Hi Kelly

    Have taken a look and can see the problem straight away...

    You had (bold text marks differences):

    >target="blank" href="http://www.fia.com/">
    <imgsrc="http://kellycullen.typepad.com/kellysfitness/fialogotop">
    </a><!

    You should have had:

    <target="blank" href="http://www.fia.com/">
    <img src=" http://kellycullen.typepad.com/kellysfitness/fialogotop.gif">
    </a>

    OR - .jpg at the end there in place of .gif
    HOWEVER, I cannot see the file in your file store (under control panel) which suggest to me you haven't actually uploaded the image."

    I went on to remind Kelly how to upload the image - and in fact I grabbed the image myself and did it for her as she requested. But if YOU would like to learn more about simple html code strings like this that will enable you to ehance your blog and make it work harder for your business (as well as loads of other really useful blog marketing tips and 'how tos' eg. Commenting, Trackbacks, Feed Management etc), you might want to book your place on my new Advanced Blogging Teleclass training series which I announced yesterday. There are already only 4 places left - I wasn't kidding when I said this will sell out!
