How It Works...
"3 months, 3 goals, 3 weekly action steps".
Think of me as your Marketing Director and Executive.
Every week, for 12 weeks, we will meet, plan and take action together.
Week 1 (w/c Mon 5 Jan 09)
The Big Picture. We will discuss where your business is today and where you want it to be. This session is as much about setting work and lifestyle goals as it is about hard figures and statistics. There is absolutely no point in creating you a plan which requires 20 hours of marketing activity a week, if you only have 2 to give or in encouraging you to write, if you prefer to speak. Having established the parameters, we will then set 3 SMART goals to achieve by the end of the program and agree the best Action Steps for you which we’ll work through together for the next 11 weeks.
Weeks 2 - 11 (w/c Mon 10 Jan – Mon 9 Mar 09)
The Process. Every week, we will check in on progress on the last 3 action steps. Review what’s working for you and what’s not. Remove any obstacles and move forward towards our shared end goals.
Our responsibilities here are shared. I will expect you to take action after each session and you can expect the same from me, because in addition to our sessions, you also have a full hour of my time, immediately following each call, to be spent in whatever way you decide you want to use it.
Week 12 (w/c Mon 16 Mar 09)
The Review. We will look at our 3 original SMART goals and using relevant analysis tools, we will compare where you are now with where you were at the start of the program. We will look at what worked best for YOU, highlight key learnings and you will leave with a clearly defined, tried and tested marketing blueprint which will continue to work for you as long as you keep following it.
Interim Support
For the duration of the 3 month program, you will have unlimited access to me by email and Instant Messenger (Skype, Yahoo, GoogleChat) – however you choose. I will also give you my precious mobile number in case you ever need me urgently and I'm not at my PC. I can only offer this level of access by limiting the number of Inner Circle spaces available at any one time. I may eventually manage 6, but for this first intake, I will only be working with 3 clients/businesses.
Leveraging the Inner Circle
One of the unique characteristics of social media marketing is the ‘social’ or collaborative way it works. It simply isn't enough to stick up a profile and leave it at that. Real results come when allegiances are forged to mutual benefit. As an Inner Circle member you are agreeing to support your fellow members in this way and can expect the same from others in return.
Group Call or Webinar
In addition to your individual weekly session, you are also expected to attend a monthly Inner Circle webinar or group call - whichever is most appropriate. Each member will have an allotted amount of time to explain their most pressing challenge or issue to the group. Where it can, the group will support each other as outlined in 'Leveraging the Inner Circle' above - this may be nothing more than Tweeting a link to an article, telling a friend about their product or service or giving honest feedback. Otherwise, the webinar provides the perfect arena for 'over-the-shoulder' learning ie. I might introduce a tool or resource and ask you to follow what I do by viewing my screen on your computer - yes - we have the technology!

Who can enter the Inner Circle?
Whilst I want to be inclusive, I've drawn up a list of 3 qualifying criteria which are in the interests of all parties:
1. Ability. You must be reasonably proficient in finding your way around your computer and the Internet. The Inner Circle is not for beginners. If the demand is there, I may consider a beginners course at a later date, but for the time being, the Inner Circle is for people already working online who want to take it to the next level. Ideally, you already have a blog, although not having one in no way excludes you. Oh and if you are a 'Mac' user, and don't already use it, you will need to download the Mozilla Firefox browser. Or Flock. Both are free.
2. Time. You must be able to match your cash investment with 'time' for action... which means attending your one-to-one sessions, completing any 'homework' tasks agreed and attending monthly group calls. Having said that, I will understand if something comes up, but it's vital that you begin the program with the right frame of mind. I want this program to deliver tangible results. That is unlikely to happen with a 'laissez faire' approach.
3. Chemistry. I don't know about you, but I work best with people with whom I 'resonate'. If our 'energies' are wildly different, then again, it's unlikely that we will get the best results together. I'm fortunate that I can choose who I work with. I rarely turn someone away, but occasionally, I do. It has nothing to do with whether we like each other or not, it's simply about recognising a winning team!
