Nothing at all to do with wellbeing, this post... I just thought I would share a dilemma I'm facing at the moment...
My Battersea flat is now on the market, but I'm having second thoughts about whether to sell or not.
The thing is, if it doesn't sell very quickly, I'll be loathe to move up to Wales and have to start paying rent on a temporary home and pay out for the mortgage. So logically, I should wait 'til I sell before I go.
But, I want to be with Andreas as soon as possible. The distance between us is no fun. On top of that, knowing that historically, UK property doubles in value every 10 years, am I crazy to even consider it? The main reason for selling it was to release capital for a deposit on a new property. But we have never lived together before and think it wise to rent for a while until we are both absolutely sure we want to set-up a permanent home together. So surely, I should simply rent it out - which would mean I'd be free to move up and the mortgage would be covered. Then once we are ready to buy, I could reconsider all the options.
Hmm... I'm going to sit with this one awhile. I'd be interested to hear what you think?
