Brian Wins Big Brother 8 Using The Secret of Cosmic Ordering

I am sooo excited about this.  Too excited to write much now and the show's still on. Yes, yes, I know. Big Brother 8 is my guilty little secret, particularly this year - because the wonderful and wholly deserving Brian read Cosmic Ordering and put his faith in it and asked the Universe for 3 things:

  • To get a new job
  • To meet a nice girl
  • To get into the Big Brother house.

He wrote it down.  He said this a couple of days ago in wonderment to one of the twins. He said they'd all come true. And I'll bet that what he didn't share at that point was the fact that he also asked to win. How cool would that be? What an amazingly abundant and beautiful Universe we are! Thanks you Universe - so very, very much.

Listen - I have to keep watching now, but I'll come back and explain more later. :o)

Abundance for Women

So the end of January - a funny time for many people. Remember all those good intentions and promises we made to ourselves as we entered 2007 - or perhaps you'd rather not!  Every year, it occurs to me that my new year doesn't really start 'til February. January always seems for me to be a preview, or a recovery period after the upheaval of the festive period. February is when it all really starts moving, and yet, popular media would have us forget our dreams and aspirations if we haven't got them licked by the end of January! How crazy is that?!

Anyway, I had an email today from WellBeing Coach Julie Fisher telling me about what sounds like an incredible powerful event... the Abundance for Women TeleSummit - it's all about women breathing life and energy into each other's dreams.

What better time for this empowering course? The ad copy says "Treat yourself to an amazing and life-changing inner growth opportunity." But I reckon it should say "Invest in yourself, honour yourself, stop holding back on yourself and once and for all, sign up for the future you promise yourself. You absolutely are worth it!"

There are some great speakers lined up and for just $199 for the full 6 seminars, this seems like great value to me. Discover more about the Abundance for Women TeleSummit here.

I'm certified!!!

Yup - it's official I am certified! Yeah, yeah, I know I'm walking right into all those jokes about - gosh - that should have happened a long time ago etc. but I'm not talking about my mental health - I'm talking about being a certified NLP Practitioner, of course!

I first came across NLP when I was 22 and training as a TEFL teacher. It wasn't until a few years later that I actually learnt everything that I now discover makes up the Practitioner level training. So I've been using it now for over 14 years - much of it subconsciously. I now know what I know which is great - and more importantly I have proof of what I know in the form of a certificate co-signed by Judith Lowe and Robert Dilts. But boy did the course take it out of me!

10 Proven Tips on How To Focus

by Lasse Burholt

Lasse #1: Exercise is Brainpower
Can't concentrate on the task at hand? Take a brisk walk around the block. Even just five to ten minutes of moderate exercise will give you the boost you need to work for a little while longer.

#2: Thinking About the Outdoors?
Too nice outside? Can't wait to get out of the office? Take a ten-minute break to go outside, sit in the sun and breathe in the fresh air. When you return to your desk you should have the spark you need to get through the next few hours.

SuperGreens

Have you heard of them?  In a nutshell, they are powdered green grasses and are very good for you indeed when drunk mixed in water.  You've probably seen people at personal development conferences guzzling them from special bottles.  I don't have a special bottle, but I do guzzle a lot of the stuff.  I particularly love it when I am tired or feel like I haven't had enough greens that day and can't get to a greengrocer.

Anyway, have a read of this discussion started by my mate Judith http://threewisewomen.typepad.com/three_wise_women/2005/09/supergreens.html

You can find the book in question in the shop here http://www.liveinessence.com/shop.htm

I'm off up to the roof now for some fresh(er) air and sunshine.

What's the point of coaching?

I was reminded of the point of a coach and coaching over the weekend when I was trawling through quote sites looking for suitably inspirational quotations for the weight-loss JV I'm working on with Lucy-Ann Prideaux.  It's another one from Ralph Waldo Emerson, the great American essayist, poet and philosopher, who I quoted a few days ago:

"What I need is someone who will make me do what I can."

Now obviously, coaches don't make you do anything, but we do get you thinking and encourage and inspire and motivate.  After that it's you that takes action and does what you can.  But I'm sure you can see where I'm coming from. Perhaps if coaching had existed as a profession back in the mid 19th century, Emerson would have said, "What I need is a facilitator to encourage and inspire me to do what I can."

Great Quote!

"If I have lost confidence in myself, I have the universe against me."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Lovely.

Found another quote of his today as well..

"What I need is someone who will make me do what I can."

That'll be a coach then!

I'm going to put that somewhere prominent on the main site, fa sheez.

I hate to admit it, but I have no idea who Ralph Waldo Emerson was - must find out about him though because he clearly speaks my language and I could learn a lot from him I'm sure.

Ah! He's a Transcendentalist.  Of course he is.

(Whispers: "What's one of those?")

What a turn around

Had an incredibly powerful NLP session yesterday with my friend Beryl who's a qualified practitioner. This time we worked on my goals using Time Line Therapy. My subconcious came up with some really poweful images and movies that will no doubt help my progress towards them all.

For the first time in my life I actually feel comfortable with my goals and see how they all relate to eachother and feed off eachother.  I'm so fired up now and so far today, I am really pleased with what I have achieved.

Hard to believe that just a few months ago, I couldn't stand up long enough to clean my teeth or prepare any food and slept for 14 hours a day some days.  And that was for weeks, not days. Shocking.
