You know what it’s like when you don’t blog for ages – there’s always so much to say it can be hard to know where to start. Especially when there a lot of big changes at Business Blog Angel that I’m just itching to tell you about…
So, where to start? Well, I’ll start with the client blogroll that I’ve finally added to the sidebar here. Maybe you’ve been noticing some traffic come through to your site from it already? I hope so – that’s certainly the intention.
Pulling the blog roll together was a great way to look back on all the client work I’ve been doing over the last year or so – there’s over 50 blogs out there already – and a lot more in the pipeline. But keeping up with that level of demand for new blogs means making some big changes in the way that I run the business – like getting the right support systems in place, for you (and for me!)
After a 6 month search and a couple of false starts I’ve finally found the support I’ve been looking for in the form of Erin Blaskie at BSetc. She’s going to be taking care of various technical tasks – including getting my Affiliate Scheme up and running. (We’ll be in touch soon on that.)
I’m using the extra help to develop new services like a ‘clinic’ for configuration surgeries (ouch! Sounds painful, but it’s for things like Typelists for more passive income, adding widgets and additional graphics) and a menu of social media marketing services – much more on that to follow.
You might have noticed that the growth in blogging for business has left me pretty well blogged out when it comes to keeping up with my own blog. So I’ve recruited another member of the Blog Angel Team, Joanna Young, to help keep the blog up to date.
She’s a client of mine (and some of you might know her Coaching Wizardry and Confident Writing blogs) so she’s familiar with Typepad and making use of the medium to develop and promote her own business as a writing coach. She’s going to be writing here about the business of blogging – so expect more on social media, affiliate schemes, marketing, networking, online identity management, podcasting – including the creative ways that all of you are already using your blogs to develop your business.
So if you haven’t been blogging for a while – now’s the time to get back into it – and to be part of the conversation here about how to make the most of your business blog.
You’ll still be hearing from me here from time to time (well you know I do like to be sporadic!) – I’ll also be keeping you in touch with business developments on my e-mail circulation list (so don’t forget to sign up if you haven’t already done so – there’s a sign up box at the top right hand side of the screen). You can also keep in touch with me through Facebook –there’s a group there for Blog Angel clients and friends so just send me a message there if you’re interested.
That’s really what I love about social media – it provides so much flexibility, so many different ways to have conversations that suit us, that reflect who we are and where our business is at. It’s all about finding the right ones that work for you – and that goes for me too!
