Hey, I'm Claire and I was the Business Blog Angel. When I started out, back in 2005, creating blogs & blogsites and social media strategies, most people hadn't even heard of Facebook, MySpace was the next big thing and Twitter didn't exist. Whilst the tools and trends have changed, the reasons for employing them for business growth have not. It's always been about positioning yourself as an expert in your field, raising your profile online and driving traffic to your website. Although I shut the 'Blog Angel' brand down in 2009, I've continued to work in the digital business, branding and marketing space the entire time - that's almost 12 years!
Things move quickly in this world. The continually morphing landscape and the pace of change, demand that those of us working here remain willing and able to see what's coming, adapt fast ourselves and make sure we're equipped to usher others safely on the journey. As I prepare for another such change in my own offering, and a related return to the blogging habit, I pondered what to do with this old blog. Although a lot of the information is really outdated, I've decided to keep it in place - as a sort of museum which might provide us with the occasional nostalgia trip or chuckle.
